Regain the shininess of your old furniture

Wooden furniture has a natural beauty that is ageless. However dirt and grime can mask the polished effect of wood and make the furniture lose its shine. It is not difficult to get rid of the grime without compromising the original shine of the wood. All you have to do is pick up the proper cleaning equipment and follow the simple procedure. So let’s get started.

To clean up the grime you will need some boiled linseed oil, white vinegar and turpentine. You will also need to have paper towels, wash cloths and an old toothbrush. First take the furniture to a well ventilated place or outside if you can. Now use the paper towels to wipe away as much dirt as possible. You can also use a vacuum cleaner to extract dirt from the corners.

Mix equal portions of linseed oil, white vinegar and turpentine into a bowl and damp a wash cloth into the solution. Lightly wipe the surface of the wood with the cloth and repeat as necessary until you get all the grime off. Do not scrub very hard or you may take away the original polish. To remove dirt from the corners and designed patterns, use the old toothbrush to pick up some cleaning solution and rub gently on the grooves.

After the cleaning is done, you won’t need to rinse the furniture with water. Just leave it for drying naturally. Once dried, use some clean clothes to buff the surface. Your furniture should be as good as new. You can always ask for a professional cleaning company to handle your furniture cleaning issues. For instance , call us free : 08006 12 13 78
